Loving life

I did it! I finally opened my Etsy shop!

I'm sorry if part of this post is a shameless attempt at plugging my new shop, but I truly am loving life lately :)

Rarely does starting the new year have any effect on my life, or brings a feeling of renewal for me, but since last year, it seems it has. Coincidentally, almost a year ago, I wrote a post about how I signed up for my Holistic Nutrition course and how happy it made me feel, and at the same time, I had posted about these felt heart ornaments I had made.

I had been wanting to open a shop on Etsy for almost a year now, and for some reason, never took the time to do it. But now it's done, and I love this feeling it gives me. I realize that if you want something, you just have to go for it, you have to do it. Take control. Things don't always happen by themselves. Shops don't open themselves either, lol.

And so begins my knew journey as a little shop owner. I find it inspiring. I realized the other night, that with a little place like that, I need to continue to create with the seasons and holidays, but just a little more in advance. So I started on Valentine's day creations. (Even started a little for Easter, but it's not quite finished yet).

Valentine's day decorations are so fun, and I don't know if it's because of the theme or the colours, but it really does bring me happiness to work on these little hearts.

But don't worry for me, I am still studying for my course, and still loving that too. Every day, I am learning how to balance motherhood, crafting and studying. And I am still loving all of it and don't think I should have to choose between being an artist, and becoming a holistic nutritionist and cook healthily to my hearts content. I think modern moms can do it all. I think we DO, do it all. And I wouldn't change a thing!
